Nishani congratulates Europe Day to Tusk: European integration, Albanians' biggest project

ata_maliTIRANA – The Albanian Head of State Bujar Nishani extended congratulations to the President of the European Council Donald Tusk on the occasion of Europe Day on Tuesday, ATA reports.

“On this occasion, I would refer to the 1950 historic declaration of Robert Schuman to all citizens of Europe that the coming together of all nations of Europe would ensure a faster development and empowerment. This visionary idea turned to feasible reality made possible to Albania to progress towards the irreversible EU integration path,” Nishani says in his message.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to President Tusk to the indispensable support given to Albania’s EU integration process and other Western Balkan countries.

“European integration remains the only alternative and the biggest project of Albanian people therefore I ensure our determination to advance in such respect, both in domestic reforms and regional cooperation.”

Nishani underlined that despite challenges and critical issues European Union and its institutions are facing, the attention, advocacy and commitment of the European Council will continue even to Albania and Western Balkan region.
