BRUSSELS – NATO Secretary General spoke with Prime Minister Zaev Thursday and congratulated him on his new responsibilities.
“We agreed on the importance of addressing urgently needed reforms, including on good governance and the rule of law. These reforms will benefit all citizens of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and will further advance the country’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” said Stoltenberg.
He noted that NATO has an interest in a stable, democratic, and prosperous country as part of a stable Western Balkans region.
“As Skopje makes progress, NATO will continue to provide support, including through our NATO Liaison Office in the capital,” he concluded.
