BELGRADE – The opening of new chapters in the EU accession talks is significant news for Serbia, but it is also important that we change ourselves to make our country better for our people, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Tuesday, Tanjug reports.
Responding to reporters’ questions, Vučić said Serbia had made progress on the European integration path, adding that 3-4 years ago the country had been fighting to get a date for opening the accession talks.

“We have come a long way in terms of European integration and creating a society that is more decent and different. I want us to do much more, and there is still much more to be done, primarily for our own sake. It is important that we change ourselves because then our country will be better for our people,” Vučić concluded.

Two new chapters, 7 and 29, in Serbia’s EU accession talks will be opened in Luxembourg late Tuesday.
