LUXEMBOURG – The opening of new chapters in Serbia’s EU accession talks is a good message to Serbian citizens, Serbian European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimović said in Luxembourg on Tuesday, Tanjug reports.
By opening the chapters, we are demonstrating that we are conducting a reform process, primarily for the sake of our society, our citizens, as well as for the sake of the ultimate, the greatest value of the process, which is EU membership, but, above all, a more modern state for our citizens that has more quality, Joksimović told a press conference after Serbia opened negotiation chapters 7 and 29.

Only when the citizens are satisfied will we be able to say we have succeeded, she said.

Serbia is primarily oriented towards implementing reforms on the internal, domestic agenda and towards development of the country, she said.
