BUDVA – The integration of the entire region into the EU and NATO will result in lasting stability and economic prosperity, said DPS President Milo Đukanović and Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev during a meeting held today in Budva on the margins of the conference “Challenges on the Way to the European Union”.

“Montenegro and its state policy have made a positive impact on the progress of Macedonia and the countries of the region, particularly in the process of integration,” said Zaev.

The Macedonian Prime Minister said his country highly appreciates Montenegro’s achievements on both the internal and the foreign political agenda, and that such policies represent great encouragement for further processes in his own country.

Đukanović expressed satisfaction with the continuity of excellent relations between the two countries, both on a political and economic level.

He pointed to the importance of continuing the dynamic integration process of the region in order to preserve the stability and overall prosperity of Western Balkan countries.

The officials agreed that the exchange of comparative experiences from the economic point of view can deepen cooperation between the two countries on multiple levels.
