TIRANA – The law on the organisation and functioning of the prosecution provides for clear transitory provisions – as confirmed by EURALIUS and OPDAT in their opinion to the parliament,” the Delegation of the European Union to Albania said in a press statement on Thursday.
The EU Delegation called on parliament to proceed in full respect of the law and elect the country’s new Prosecutor-General.
Earlier today, the Ambassador of the United States in Tirana, Donald Lu, said in a statement that “Constitution and the Prosecutorial Law are clear,” and called on parliament to respect the law.
