SKOPJE – Macedonia hopes that a solution to the dispute with Greece regarding the constitutional name of the country will be settled in July, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in an interview with the Austrian radio station ORF, reported Reuters.
“I believe we will be able to conclude the negotiations successfully by the NATO summit in July”, said Zaev.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Macedonia’s entry into NATO is more than certain, if a solution to the name dispute is reached.
“We have an automatic invitation, meaning NATO members will start ratifying our (NATO) accession as soon as we and Greece announce that the problem has been solved,” Zaev added.
The NATO summit is scheduled for July 11th and 12th in Brussels.
