Strengthening the rule of law in the Western Balkans: Why should the EU care?

PODGORICA – European Fund for the Balkans (EFB), Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG) and Politikon Network (PIN) are organizing a panel discussion titled “Strengthening the rule of law in the Western Balkans: Why should the EU care?”, which will be held on 8 April 2019, at 12h, in Hotel CentreVille (Conference Room 1), Podgorica.

The topic of the panel discussion will be the recently published BiEPAG study: ”Strengthening the Rule of Law in the Western Balkans: Call for a Revolution against Particularism”.

Introductory remarks will be given by Igor Bandović, Program Manager of the European Fund for the Balkans, Aleksandar Drljević, Montenegro’s Chief Negotiator with the European Union and Jovana Marović, Executive Director of Politikon Network, who will moderate the discussion.

Panel discussion will be opened by Florian Bieber, Professor at the University of Graz and Coordinator of BiEPAG, while other speakers will be Tena Prelec, Research Associate at LSE European Institute, Marko Kmezić, Senior Researcher of Centre for Southeast European Studies at University of Graz, Srđan Cvijić, Senior Policy Analyst on EU external relations at the Open Society European Policy Institute.
