Bled Strategic Forum – (Re)sources of (In)stability

BLED – Is it time to admit that the enlargement process is flawed and that the Western Balkans’ EU integration needs fresh wind in its sails, what are the views on Euro-Atlantic Security 70 Years after the Washington Treaty, what lies ahead for the New European Commission – those are some of the questions for this year’s Bled Strategic Forum.

Under the title ‘(Re)sources of (In)stability’, the 14th Bled Strategic Forum will take place on September 2 and 3 in Bled, Slovenia, will be dedicated to discussing the role of (re)sources regarding peace and security, sustainable development and economic progress.

“Resources, their availability and regional dispersion are shaping strategic relations in the international community. The effective management of strategic resources maintains stability, reduces security risks and contributes to improving living standards, whereas uneven and unjust distribution leads to inequality and the concentration of resources in centres of power,” it is stated in the agenda.

Also, Young Bled Strategic Forum will be organised from August 31, under the name Youth as a (Future) (Re)source, where the young people attending this year’s Young BSF will prove that youth is a valuable resource in several ways.

On the other hand, Bled Strategic Forum will also gather business community with its Business BSF, which will deal with the questions on how to win in the flow of constant change, climate-neutral smart economy and international tourism that is growing exponentially.
