Second “mini-Schengen” summit scheduled for 9 November

BELGRADE – President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić announced yesterday that he spoke on the phone with Prime Ministers of Albania and North Macedonia Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev in preparation for the second high-level meeting on the topic of regional integration. Following the summit in Novi Sad, Serbia, in October, “mini-Schengen” proposal will be discussed in Ohrid, North Macedonia, on 9 November. The initiative aims at creating a free-trade and free-travel zone between the three countries by 2021, and other Western Balkan governments have expressed interest to join.
