PRISTINA – Kosovo agreed to join the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, led by the US, it was reported by Al Jazeera. A formal agreement to join the United-Nations mandated force was signed yesterday.
“At a ceremony in Pristina today, representatives of the Republic of Kosovo, the Board of Peace and the International Stabilization Force signed the Participating Country Agreement for the inclusion of Kosovo in the ISF. Kosovo will provide critical support for the mission of advancing President Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan in Gaza”, it was stated by the Board of Peace.
According to the press release, the participants in the ceremony included Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci of Kosovo, lieutenant general Bashkim Jashari, Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, and major general Jasper Jeffers, Commander of the International Stabilization Force.
“As efforts advance full implementation of the ceasefire, the Board of Peace and the ISF remains committed to fostering security, stability and renewed hope for the people Gaza, Israel and the region. Through dedicated international cooperation, the ISF continues to advance the essential conditions for long-term comprehensive recovery”, it was stated.
The Board of Peace is an international organization chaired for life by American President Donald Trump, originally created to oversee the post-conflict transition and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.
