BELGRADE – Following the official proposal submitted by the Government on Monday, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić today called a snap parliamentary election in Serbia for 25 October.

In a short address to the nation, Vučić said that the main reason for calling the election was recent tensions in the country and expressed hope that “the results of the election will show us the way in which Serbia needs to go”.
