TIRANA – House of Europe hosted today a roundtable table “The Berlin Process: ‘The London Summit 2018’”. The event was part of a series of activities organized in the capitals of the Western Balkan countries, initiated by the SEE Think Net, a network of civil society organizations from the region where EU Policy Hub is part of.
The event was opened by the Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Albania, Mr. Sean Melbourne, who reminded the audience about the three pllars for London – the economy, regional relations and security. He also presented the agenda for the Summit and underlined United Kingdom’s commitment to the region.
After Mr. Melbourne, speeches were also given by Mrs. Majlinda Bregu, former Albanian Minister of European Integration and the next Secretary General of Regional Cooperation Council and Mr. Sokol Dedja, Director of the European Union Department at the Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs, both of whom reflected upon ways to improve Berlin Process. Finally, Mrs. Jovana Marović, the Executive Director of the Politikon Network from Montenegro presented her policy brief that included main arguments why “Rule of Law” should be a major topic to be included at the Berlin Process agenda.
The roundtable was concluded with the questions from the audience.
