Macedonia2025 Summit kicks off in Skopje

SKOPJE – Seventh annual Macedonia2025 Summit, dedicated to sharing of knowledge and best practices on business, economy trends, technology, leadership and innovation, began today in Hotel Marriott in Macedonia’s capital.

During the next three days, participants of this regional business platform will have the opportunity to hear presentations and discussions of 70 speakers during ten panel discussions and four break-out sessions, which will cover a wide array of topics, such as global economic trends, regional investments, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Other topics include digital transformation, latest technology applied in healthcare, as well as production of medical cannabis in Macedonia.

Special attention will be paid to philanthropy and giving back to the community, through organizing the Fundraiser Gala, in honor of the organization’s Founder – John Bitove Senior, thus celebrating ten years from establishing Macedonia2025 and seven years of the Macedonia2025 Summit.

International non-profit organization Macedonia2025, the organizers of the event, have also announced a diverse audience of 500 high officials, diplomats, executives, entrepreneurs, academia members and young leaders.

“Some of the Summit speakers include top-notch names like: Kevin Murnane (Professor at Kellogg School of Management and Founder of Behtrics, USA), Ghassan Hasbani (Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister of Lebanon), Anthony B. Kim (Research Manager and Editor of the Index of Economic Freedom at the Heritage Foundation, USA); Jordi Serrano Pons (General Practitioner, Founder and CEO of UniversalDoctor, Switzerland), Yair Engel (Founder and Director at Kayama – Center for Sustainable Design, Israel), Catherine Constantinides (world-renowned philanthropist, activist and entrepreneur from South Africa)”, the organizers announced.

Before the start of the official program, competition for the best business concept of Macedonian high school students and regional startup business competition were held.

Portal European Western Balkans is the media partner of the Summit and will provide detailed reports and live Twitter coverage on Thursday, 8 November, on the global economic trend and how they affect the whole region, and the panel on investments, trade and prospects of the South East Europa as a whole.
