PODGORICA – What is the future for the NATO Alliance and what are the challenges the Alliance is facing today will be the main topics discussed at the Regional Workshop ”New Perspectives on Shared Security – NATO’s Next 70 Years: Wars of ideas. Hybrid warfare, political interference and disinformation” held on June 6 in Podgorica.
The aim of the event organised by the Politikon Network is to answer the question “What is the future of the NATO Alliance?”, as well as to offer solutions for combating hybrid warfare and other security threats. Within the event, activities will be organised in two sessions: a closed-type workshop, involving 30 experts in the area of security and defence from the region (Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia) and a panel discussion that will be opened to the public.
The participants of the panel discussion will be Jovana Marović, Executive Director of the Politikon Network, Despina Afentouli, Program Manager of the Partnerships, Cooperative Security and Open Door policies of Engagement Team of the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO, Milica Kovačević, President of the Centre for Democratic Transition of Montenegro, Igor Tabak, Analyst of Obris Portal in Croatia, and Ivana Boštjančič Pulko, Head of Programme ‘Peace and Security’ of the Centre for European Perspective in Slovenia.
The event is supported by NATO Public Diplomacy Division and the Policy Planning Unit, Office of the Secretary General, in the framework of marking the 70th anniversary of the Alliance.
