Kukan MEP: Participation of Serbian soldiers in military parade in Moscow might have an influence on the EU integration process of the country

BRATISLAVA, 7.04.2015. – Following decision of the Serbian president Tomislav Nikolic to send soldiers of Serbian Armed Forces to military parade on occasion of 70th anniversary of Victory Day to Moscow, Eduard Kukan, chair of the European Parliament delegation for Serbia issued the statement: “I perceive the decision of president Nikolic concerning the participation of Serbian soldiers in military parade in Moscow, in contrast with declarations of commitment to the EU integration process. In current situation such decision becomes an important political gesture. President Nikolic should be aware that such gestures might have an influence on the EU integration process of the country.”
