Hahn and Çollaku inaugurated the water plant

MITROVICA – Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, together with Commissioner Johannes Hahn, today inaugurated the water treatment plant in Shipol. This project, which is funded by the European Union amounting at 10 million Euros, according to Minister Çollaku, is of particular importance because of its direct benefit to about 250 thousand inhabitants of the Mitrovica region. “Kosovo and our citizens are grateful to European taxpayers, European Commission for support during all these years. This, what we have seen today, this modern plant of European standards is a living proof of the transformational capacities of the EU, not just in terms of democracy and spreading of the European values but also in concrete terms of development of a country like Kosovo”, said among others Minister Çollaku.
