Thaçi; Kosovo, Europe’s most isolated country

Hashim Thaçi

ata_maliPRISTINA – President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi declared on Wednesday that although Kosovo is the most pro -European state in the Western Balkans, it continues to remain Europe’s most isolated country, ATA reports.

In a posting on his Facebook account, Thaçi pens: As our neighboring countries have broken down the isolation many years ago with their citizens moving freely all across the Schengen zone, the Kosovo people are desperate to end such isolation. The responsibility for this gloomy reality does not lie with the EU institutions only, but also with the institutions of Kosovo.

We will not allow this humiliating situation to continue endlessly, Thaci said appealing on behalf of Kosovo citizens to all relevant institutions to take the necessary actions and work towards fulfilling the last remaining criterion for visa liberalization as soon as possible.
