TIRANA – The European Movement Albania, with the European Commission’s supports under the Jean Monnet Network “Policy Debate with Academic World”, launched Monday the European Integration and Negotiations Academy (AIEN), a body that will organize a series of workshops on enhancing governance of EU policies and preparation of Albania EU Negotiation Process during the period from May 2017 through February 2018.
Gledis Gjipali, executive director of European Movement in Albania (EMA) – an independent and non-profit organization assisting Albania’s increased efforts at speeding up the process of preparing for EU accession – delivered the opening speech to introduce AIEN, its objectives to help the country open main chapters of accession negotiations with the EU.
Gjipali said that program will seek to involve local and central government representatives, as well as members from the civil society organizations, the media, and academia and business community.
AIEN will focus on the accession talks with EU on main chapters and will help to combine theoretical, practical and shared knowledge about the process.
EMA is actively committed to promoting European values and raising awareness in the public opinion on the impact and benefits of EU Membership for Albania.
