TIRANA – Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati received on Tuesday in Tirana the visiting UK Minister of State for Europe and the Americas at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Alan Duncan.

Bushati and Duncan talked about the upcoming Western Balkans Summit in London, hosted by the Foreign Office, as a part of the Berlin Process initiative.

“We expect the Berlin Process to focus on support for the European integration of the Western Balkans countries through strengthening of infrastructure and economic links between the region and the European Union,” FM Bushati said after the meeting.

On his part, the Europe Minister Duncan appreciated the London Summit as an expression of the United Kingdom maintaining its commitment to the Balkans region and Europe even after the UK’s decision to leave the EU, the Brexit.

Bushati and Duncan also discussed on ways of further strengthening the bilateral relations between Albania and the UK.
