Juncker to visit Western Balkans from February 25 through March 1

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will be on an official visit to the Western Balkans from February 25 through March 1, Tanjug learns in Brussels. Juncker’s trip to the region will follow in the wake of the one by Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who is currently visiting Serbia and Montenegro, the countries identified as the frontrunners in the EU accession process. Juncker is expected to visit all of the EU’s six partners in the region. The visit, announced last year, is seen in Brussels as part of EU efforts to promote and support the European integration process in the Western Balkans.
