Borrell: My first visit will be to Pristina

BRUSSELS – Candidate for the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell stated today that his first trip in this role will be to Pristina. During the hearing in front of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament (AFET), Borrell stated that the status quo is unsustainable and that the EU will take Belgrade-Pristina dialogue with a higher consideration than before. He also stressed that Kosovo should abolish tariffs, and that Serbia must engage in the dialogue more sincerely. “We are diverse on recognition, but are united on engagement”, Borrell said.
