ZAGREB – VMRO-DPMNE’s party leader Nikola Gruevski in an interview for the Croatian National television “HRT” said that “with the Albanian platform a coup d’etat was attempted in Macedonia,” Meta reports.
In a way, it is a coup d’etat when after the elections a platform from another state is brought and it refers to our country, Republic of Macedonia. When that platform was not shown in front of the citizens at the elections and when the citizens do not agree, when that platform is contrary to the Constitution and when the politician who accepts that platform is blackmailed – said Gruevski.
Gruevski denied that the so-called Albanian platform is similar to something he has signed in 2008.
-No, not at all. What is being done now is contrary to the Constitution of Macedonia. We are heading towards a binational state, as other ethnic communities in Macedonia are neglected, such as the Turks, the Serbs, Bosnians, Roma, the Vlachs, Croatians. Only one community is favored while the others are marginalized and that is done unconstitutionally or without an announcement at the elections with a platform signed in another state under the patronage of another Prime Minister, Edi Rama – said Gruevski.
When asked whether he understood the message from EU’s High representative, Federica Mogherini, Gruevski said that “what Mrs. Mogherini has said we understood it as we understand what hundreds of thousands of citizens are saying every day.”
