BRUSSLES – Within the framework of the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB) Fellowship programme, EFB fellows, hosted by the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), and their colleagues have published four policy papers tackling the topics of resilience of the Western Balkans, recent political developments in the region, and its security issues related to foreign fighters, EFB stated.
The EFB fellows – Zoran Nechev, Jelena Beslin and Marija Ignjatijevic, and their associates – EUISS analysts and researchers authored following publications: Fostering resilience in the Western Balkans, Western Balkans: more resilience for the energy sector, Balkan foreign fighters: from Syria to Ukraine and Illiberalism in the Western Balkans?
The European Fund for the Balkans, in cooperation with the European Union Institute for Security Studies, has established the new fellowship programme for junior and senior researchers last year. The fellowship for senior researcher was granted to Zoran Nechev (Macedonia), and the fellowships for junior researchers were granted to Jelena Beslin (Serbia) and Marija Ignjatijevic (Serbia).
