Priebe: Mobilization of institutions to implement reforms is necessary

SKOPJE – Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov and Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani, had a working breakfast with the EU’s expert on reform priorities Reinhard Priebe on Tuesday, Meta reports.

Dimitrov expressed his gratitude for the engagement of Priebe’s expert team, who by precisely detecting shortcomings in several key areas, contributed to the processes in overcoming the political crisis.

At the meeting, Priebe pointed out the necessity of enhanced engagement and mobilization of the relevant institutions in the country to implement the recommendations of the report and the reform priorities. He reiterated the readiness of the expert team to help Macedonia overcome the identified shortcomings in several important areas such as the rule of law, freedom of the media and the independence of regulatory bodies.
