Merkel: Germany supports Macedonia in Euro-Atlantic integration

TRIESTE – During the Western Balkan Summit in Trieste, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev had a bilateral meeting with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel, who expressed support for the new government, the essential reforms and the determination to integrate the Republic of Macedonia into the EU, read a statement from the Prime Ministers cabinet

“The government is determined to implement the necessary reforms and to ensure a Euro-Atlantic future for Macedonia, and with that, quality of life for the citizens”, said Zaev during his meeting with Merkel.

Chancellor Merkel announced the Federal Republic of Germany’s support for reforms and the Euro-Atlantic integration process.

The two leaders expressed joint commitment to continue and increase the intensity of the cooperation between the two countries.
