SARAJEVO – Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) Presidency Dragan Čović and Chairman of BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić have officially handed the answered EU accession questionnaire to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) Presidency Dragan Čović over the answers to the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, in the presence of members of the BiH Presidency, Mladen Ivanić and Bakir Izetbegović.

Čović said that providing the answers to Questionnaire was a big and responsible job.

More than 2,000 civil servants participated in the answering, Čović explained and expressed the hope that everything will be easier in the future.

“Thank you very much, Mr. Junker, for allowing us to be on the European path. I know that our European path is not up to you but to us,” said Čović, adding that he believes that the elections will not slow down this path but accelerate it.

Čović pointed out that BiH could reach Serbia and Montenegro on the road to the European Union, and reminded that the BiH submitted its application for EU membership in 2016, and that at that time everyone assured the representatives of BiH that BiH had no chance.

The BiH Election Law was also discussed and how it is necessary to adopt amendments to the Election Law of BiH so it does not block the process.
