Unannounced meeting of Kosovo’s leaders ends with rejection of border change

PRISTINA – The ruling coalition and opposition parties in Kosovo are opposed to President Hashim Thaçi’s idea on what he called a possible “border correction”, N1 reported.

This was announced after the meeting between Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, President of the Assembly Kadri Veseli, Thaçi and other state officials that took place this morning.

Haradinaj stated that they agreed there will be no discussion about the issue during the meeting with Serbian side on 7 September.

“Change of border with Serbia would mean war”, he said earlier in an interview for Irish Times.

According to Zeri, the Assembly is expected to adopt a resolution against border correction with Serbia next week.
