ECFR: Stability of Western Balkans region depends on continuation of the dialogue

BELGRADE – President of Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met with the European Council on Foreign Relations delegation to talk about the relationshop between Belgrade and Pristina, current situation in the region and Serbia”.

“Imposed taxes and endorsed Platform by Kosovo’s Assembly is the best proof that Pristina is not thinking about the dialogue. Instead, it is thinking about the solutions which destabalize the whole region”, Vučić pointed out.

He said that measures are not only against CEFTA agreement but they have a negative influence on Serbian economy, adding that the continuation of the dialogue depends on wheter Pristina would abolish taxes or not.

The representatives of the European Council on Foreign Relations led by Robert Cooper, emphasized that stability of region depends on wheter the dialogue will be continued or not, adding that solution in the long- run should be found. They are visiting Belgrade in order to understand the challenges Serbia is facing today, as well the dynamic of region and what EU should do in order to help when it comes to reforms measures on the Western Balkans.
