SKOPJE – US Senate Foreign Relations Committee ratified NATO Accession Protocol of North Macedonia, META reports.
The ratification of the Accession Protocol was announced on social networks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov and the Acting Assistant Secretary Philip T. Reeker, who is currently on a official visit to the country.

The next step to the full ratification is passing the Protocol in the Senate.

“Impeccable sense of timing for the visit Philip Reeker, as always! Only a day after US Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the NATO Accession Treaty and ahead of new important achievements to be made together”, wrote Dimitrov on Twitter.

He added that long term support remains essential for stability, democracy and prosperity of North Macedonia and the region.
