BELGRADE – The Berlin Process has a clear sponsor, clear goals and EU funds, but not the instruments to implement agreed projects, so additional pressure is needed to accelerate them, participants of the Summit100 conference of business leaders from SE Europe said Monday.

A total of 20 people in the governments of the Western Balkans Six are working on regional cooperation, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia President Marko Čadež noted.

The fact that officials of these countries are meeting annually is important, but the problem is that there is a lack of instruments needed to build ties, he said.

“If we speak about the 2018 budgets, I have not seen that a single euro has been set aside specially for creating instruments enabling us to turn what we have adopted in Trieste into reality.”

There is will and there are decisions to improve this, he said.
