Miščević: Chapter on fisheries set to be opened in 2017

TANJUG_maliBELGRADE – Serbia is currently working on the negotiating position for Chapter 13 on fisheries, which is expected to be opened in 2017, Serbia’s Chief Negotiator with the EU Tanja Miščević said on Wednesday.

“We are working on the negotiating position. We know that one of the key elements is to formulate a strategy for the so-called aquaculture, which is a big part of the job. So, there should be no rush with this chapter, as we would really like to make the most of the opportunities it offers,” Miščević said.

“I think that we will not be able to discuss its opening this year, but next year- we will,” Miščević told reporters at a conference on the common fisheries policies, organized in cooperation with the PLAC project and the Serbian chamber of commerce.
