PRISTINA – Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi expressed hope that the issue of the Community of Serbian municipalities (CSM) will be successfully resolved at the beginning of 2017, as well as the issue of the agreement on the demarcation with Montenegro.
In an interview for the Pristina newspaper “Epoka e Re” Thaçi said that 2016 was a successful year for Kosovo in many areas, but said that the biggest disappointment is that Kosovo was not granted visa liberalisation.
“No one can deny that we expected even more, especially when it comes to visa liberalisation. This is, in fact, the biggest disappointment of the year. And disappointment becomes even greater with knowledge that this is the result of internal politics more than anything else”, he said.
He stated that the ruling coalition and the opposition must find common ground to solve problems that are in the common interest of Kosovo.
