PODGORICA – The US Senate should start a procedure of voting on the Accession Protocol of Montenegro to NATO Monday, CdM reports.
VoA reports that the procedure was put on schedule by Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
It was announced that on Monday the voting on the discussion would begin, in order to avoid a so-called filibuster, that enables senators to discuss without time limits.
After that step, the voting should be done by Thursday.
After the Senate greenlights the Protocol, the US President Donald Trump must sign the agreement that Montenegro should join NATO.
