Bošković: Montenegro supports BiH on its NATO path

PODGORICA – Montenegro appreciates Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to the values ​​of NATO and the country can count on Montenegro’s support on its path, defence minister of Montenegro Predrag Bošković said at a meeting with his BiH counterpart Marina Pendeš.

Pendeš thanked for the support Montenegro provided to BiH through the exchange of acquired knowledge and experience.

The ministers emphasised the mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in the field of defence.

They also pointed out the importance of joint use of the capacity of the Regional Training Centre for the helicopter pilots of the Montenegro Armed Forces and the Training Center for Peace Support Operations in Sarajevo.

Bošković also met with the commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Robert Huston. On this occasion, the minister emphasised the importance of support provided by NATO Headquarters to BiH.

He said that it was important for the countries of the region to decisively move towards lasting peace and stability under the aegis of the system of collective security.
