Second WB Research and Innovation meeting to take place in Skopje

SKOPJE – The second Western Balkans Research and Innovation meeting will be organised in Skopje on March 21-22, 2018 within the framework of the European Commission’s Support for the Steering Platform (SP) on Research and Innovation for the Western Balkan countries (WBC).

The meeting will be co-chaired by the Ministry of Education and Science who will host the event and the European Commission (DG Research and Innovation, Directorate for International Cooperation). The main topics to be discussed are related to smart specialisation and academia – industry cooperation. The meeting will also be used to continue with preparations of the Western Balkans Steering Platform Ministerial meeting to be held End of June in Brussels.

The first Western Balkans Research and Innovation meeting was organised in Podgorica in June 2017; the WB Steering Platform (SP) on Research and Innovation was organised in Belgrade in September 2017.
