Osmani – Mogherini: The next few hours could be crucial to outcome of negotiations

BRUSSELS -Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bujar Osmani together with Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi, paid a working visit to Brussels on a two-day visit, met with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini.

At the meeting, Osmani informed Mogherini about the new reform “18” plan, with which Macedonia remains still committed to the reform process after receiving the recommendation and the positive report of the European Commission.

“The ” 3-6-9 “plan has created a solid basis and preparation regarding the implementation of the substantive and long-term reforms which aim is to bring our society closer to Europe. “18” plan represents a logical continuation of the Government’s reform agenda for systemic coordination and monitoring the implementation of these reforms until the beginning of the negotiations”, Osmani stressed.

At the meeting, Osmani also said about the progress made in the relations between Macedonia and Greece.

“We have made serious progress, and as never before the two countries have been closer to the solution. The next few hours can be crucial to the outcome of the negotiations, and I hope that the positive solution will create an atmosphere for meaningful relations between Macedonia and Greece, as well as conditions for progress for the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Macedonia”, Osmani said.
