EU Accession Negotiations Committee formed in North Macedonia

SKOPJE – The first session of the EU Accession Negotiations Committee was held in North Macedonia yesterday in expectations of receiving the date for opening of the first chapters, Government announced.

During the first meeting of the Committee, the models of including civil society in the process of accession negotiations was discussed, Radio Free Europe reports.

Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, is the highest working body for coordinating the accession negotiations process, which reviews and establishes the proposals for negotiating positions, discusses and forms a stance on the most important questions arising from the process.

Prime Minister Zaev emphasised the need for a “swift reacting of everybody who will be involved in this process, which is one of the most important for our country”.
