BELGRADE – The Government of the Republic of Serbia, at the first session in its new makeup on Friday, adopted a Decision on the appointment of Novak Nedić as the Secretary General of the government, Government of Serbia stated.
At the session, a Conclusion was adopted to withdraw from the parliamentary procedure proposals of laws and other acts that were submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia prior to the election of the new government.
The government noted the termination of duties of state secretaries in all ministries.
At Friday’s meeting, it was also decided that the regular sessions of the government are held on Thursdays at 13.00.
The new Serbian government, lead by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, after being elected in the Serbian parliament, took an oath before parliament members on Thursday, which marked the beginning of its mandate.
The text of the oath, which was signed by the Prime Minister and the government members after taking it, reads: “I swear that I will be loyal to the Republic of Serbia and I pledge with my honour that I will respect the Constitution and the law, that I will perform the duty of the government member conscientiously, responsibly and committedly and that I will be dedicated to keeping Kosovo-Metohija within the Republic of Serbia”.
