VIENNA – Two days conference in Vienna gathered all Speakers of Parliaments of EU member states and Western Balkans countries which have the candidate status along with Bosnia and Herzegovina as a special guest.
They have agreed that EU accession with new members is at the most interest for all, but they warned that there should be more solidarity and responsibility in dealing with other issues like Brexit, security problems and climate changes.
A similar conclusion was made at the last conference last year during the Austrian EU Presidency implying that there should be stronger EU engagement on the ground so the candidate states could fulfil criteria.
Progress on the EU road of accession is very significant for the stability of the whole continent.
