BRUSSELS –  Berlin meeting of the Western Balkans leaders was a contribution, but the EU will continue to mediate in Belgrade Pristina Dialogue, said the spokesperson of the European Union Maja Kocijančič, reports Radio Free Europe.

As she said every such meeting can contribute, but the dialogue is the process mediated by the EU.

Kocijančič said Mogherini would keep contacts with the sides and take part in the Brdo-Brioni process’ meeting in Tirana scheduled for May 8-9, RSE reports.

“Mogherini is ready to organise new meeting within the dialogue framework, but Kosovo must suspend the (import) tariffs (on goods from Serbia and Bosnia) so the dialogue could resume soon”, Kocijančič concluded.

Summit in Berlin was held on Monday, April 29 on the initiative of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron. EU High Representative Federica Mogherini attended the meeting. She held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders from the region.
