Austrian foreign minister to tour Western Balkans next week

BELGRADE – Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz will tour the Western Balkans next week, which underlines the importance that Vienna attaches to this region and its European perspective, Tanjug learnt at the Austrian Embassy in Belgrade on Thursday.

Minister Kurz will start his tour on Sunday by visiting Sarajevo, then Belgrade, from which he will travel to Podgorica, then Tirana, Pristina and Skopje.

The Austrian foreign minister will be in Belgrade on Monday and Tuesday. This is his fourth visit to Serbia since taking office as Austria’s foreign minister, Ambassador Johannes Eigner told reporters.

The delegation accompanying Minister Kurz on his visit to Serbia, contrary to other countries, will include President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce Christoph Leitl, who will attend the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of dual education.
