Chairman Zvizdić with German Foreign Ministry Political Director for Western Balkans

SARAJEVO – Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić held a discussion in Sarajevo with Political Director for Western Balkans, Turkey and EFTA Countries under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany and former Ambassador of the FR Germany in BiH Christian Hellbach, informing him of the current political and economic developments in BiH, announced the Council.

Chairman Zvizdić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to receive the questionnaire of the European Union, to be handed over to Chairman Zvizdić by Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, informing the guest on the fulfilment of requirements  for membership in ATO. He noted, among other things, that a Defence Review was adopted, which is a requirement credibly implemented at the present stage of the accession process.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked to the Germany’s support and a friendly attitude towards BIH, and expressed his hope that the support along with bilateral cooperation would be continued in future.

Political Director Hellbach expressed his satisfaction with a visible progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that Germany will continue to give support to the European integrations processes and road of BiH to the EU and NATO. He commended the efforts being made by the Council of Ministers of BiH, led by its Chairman Zvizdić.

Zvizdić and Hellbach agreed that reform processes need to be intensified over the period to come, together with regional cooperation and combating organised crime, corruption and all forms of terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Germany in BiH Chrisitiane Hohmann.
