BRUSELLS – EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, on Saturday clearly expressed the position of Brussels, said the European Commission for Meta concerning the accusations made by MP Ilija Dimovski that Hahn, through his statement, interfered in the internal affairs of Macedonia, this news agency reports.
Hahn on Saturday stated that after enough signatures of MPs were collected, and that Brussels expects the President to give the mandate for forming a new government to the candidate of the parties that have a majority in Parliament, in accordance with the Constitution.
The European Commission has once again confirmed that they expect the swift formation of a new government.
“As we have said repeatedly, we will not speculate on the composition of a government or its programme. The EU simply expects the swift formation of a new government, with broad political support, that commits strongly to European reforms and to implementing all parts of the Pržino Agreement and the Urgent Reform Priorities”, said the European Commission for Meta.
