Serbian President Vučić met with Angelina Eichhorst, Director for Western Europe, Western Balkans and Turkey at the EEAS. Two interlocutors discussed over four hours about all issues relevant for Serbia and about Serbia’s road to the EU. They also analysed the situation in the region and agreed that peace and stability in the WB are main preconditions for economic prosperity. SR President and EU official touched upon all difficult issues, such as Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and Serbia’s relation towards Russia.
“Serbia is committed to continue working hard on the accession to the EU. At the same time, Serbia remains strongly committed to the preservation of its independence, sovereignty and military neutrality”, Vučić said. Director Eichhorst said that the EU fully supports president Vučić and Serbia in their efforts to see the country and region progress on the EU path and on economic and legal reforms.
