[VIDEO] Boosting the digital economy in the Western Balkans

BRUSSELS – At an EPP Group conference hosted by Andrey Kovatchev MEP and European Parliament Vice-President Lívia Járóka MEP, the European Commission presented digital economy proposals, including cutting mobile phone communication charges and expanding internet coverage for Western Balkans countries. The aim is to open up some EU policies to Western Balkans countries ahead of negotiations with these countries to join the EU. The proposals will be part of discussions at a major summit with EU and Western Balkans countries in May.
