Preparatory meeting for the WB Summit in London

SARAJEVO – In the framework of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs Network and in close collaboration with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, “Preparatory meeting for the WB Summit in London” will be organized on 20-21 March, 2018 in Sarajevo.

Following the conclusions and results of the Trieste Summit in 2017, and in preparation of the upcoming Summit in London, it is necessary to evaluate the progress achieved in key areas and further determine how to implement future deliverables arising from the Berlin Process.

The objective of the meeting in Sarajevo is to exchange information on the state of play on the implementation of conclusions and decisions from WB Summit in Trieste, such as Transport Community Treaty, Regional Economic Area. The meeting will also offer opportunity for the participants to discuss expectations and deliverables of the WB Summit in London and to take stock on the outcome and conclusions of the Sarajevo WB6 ministerial meeting. Furthermore, the objective is also to exchange views and positions regarding the EC Strategic document on credible enlargement perspective for the Western Balkans and its impact on the European path of all WB countries and the regional cooperation and to share and exchange of information with regards to the priorities and program of the EU – WB Summit in Sofia.
