Hahn: Urgent need for calm and de-escalation

BRUSSELS – European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn has tweeted that he had spoken to President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj in the context of today’s arrest of several citizens of Mitrovica by Kosovo’s Regional operative support units, as well as tariffs imposed on Serbian goods few days earlier.

“We agreed on to urgent need for calm and de-escalation, in the interest of the whole region. I proposed to help them work on rapid, practical solutions for the various trade issues at hand”, wrote Hahn.
