BRUSSELS – The President of European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker commented on the previous mandate of European Commission and explained that there is a lot of work to be done especially with the perspective 2025 including “concrete and real EU perspective of the Western Balkans”.

Even though there has been evident progress, there is still a lot of unfinished work regarding the Commission’s suggestions on “perspective 2025”.

“It means taking efficient decisions, changing the principles of voting regarding some questions and credible and real EU perspective for the Western Balkans and unique EU voice at the global stage”, says Juncker.

The President of the European Commission points out that the EU needs to focus on the questions which could be resolved on the European level.

“If there is a political will than these perspectives on the long-run can be achieved without changing the EU Constitution”, states Jean-Claude Juncker.

Ahead of the Summit EU 27 taking place in Sibiu, president Juncker expects that the talks will be about the common European future but also sending the message of hope and unity.

“We need to demonstrate that we are decisive to work together on our European project”, Juncker concludes.
