BELGRADE – Tuesday’s opening of two new chapters in the EU accession talks will be a message that Serbia is a stable country that is carrying out reforms in various areas, says EU Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimović, Tanjug reports.
Two very significant chapters are to be opened – Chapter 7 on intellectual property and Chapter 29 on the customs union, she told the RTS.

“I am pleased that we are embarking on reform and technical chapters which indicate that reforms are underway in various areas. Those are concrete chapters that will be felt by our citizens and the economy through the process of alignment. When you are changing legislation, you are also changing the rules of behaviour,” she said.

Serbia has maintained a solid pace in terms of opening negotiation chapters, and additional negotiating positions for the period of the Estonian EU Presidency are ready, she said.
